Time for some more action.
Rude Rock trail, Queenstown is one of my new favorite trails. We won't be waiting 12 years to visit again.

Sea Kayaking is peaceful but was seriously mesmerised by this scene on Lake Rotoroa, Nelson Lakes National Park.

About 300 kids had a go at mountain biking at the Meridian Energy Kids Bike Jam held in Palmerston North in May. It is so awesome seeing so many kids having fun on a bike.

I can't believe our luck, only 4 days of really good weather this school holidays and we choose them to go tramping at Nelson Lakes National Park.
What stunning views, a bit wet underfoot which made it interesting but superb all the same.

Sport doesnt stop because of a little bit of rain and just as well because we would surely all be fat a lazy at this time of year.
A Feilding High School girls team battle away in the pouring rain for a midweek night game.

OK, well I admit, I like things about bikes and quite fancied this display at the local shop while shopping tonight... thats right special privileges for some of us.
Actually we were lucky enough to have the local shop owner do a talk about bike maintenance for our junior development squad. And I had fun afterwards photographing some of the displays. Thanks Phil.

I photographed something completely different over the weekend, school boy rugby! It was great and I certainly enjoyed the change and a chance to try out the combination of the D90 with the Nikon 55-200 lens to get up a little closer to the action.
For a first go, it wasn't half bad.
